“Pharmageddon”…America’s Biggest Drug Problem

Today pharmaceuticals kill more people than guns and yet we just can’t seem to get enough of them.

In 2011, doctors wrote 4.02 billion prescriptions for drugs in America.  That’s an average of approximately 13 prescriptions for each man, woman, and child.   Of course pharmaceutical companies are thriving in the midst of this economic crisis because we keep forging ahead like legal junkies demanding a pill to make “it” better.  We have become so spoiled  that we eagerly look for a pill that will “fix” our physical and emotional problems RIGHT NOW even though the pills in your medicine cabinet DON’T CURE anything, they merely attempt to reduce your symptoms.

The Natural Roots

Did you know that pharmaceuticals are most often inspired by the natural? For instance, over the past few years numerous studies have been released that validate the power of a common spice known to us as turmeric.  If you pair the studies along with the minimal cases of chronic conditions found in people who consume organic turmeric on a daily basis, you have the makings of a natural miracle!

Turmeric is already considered by many to be THE answer for things Alzheimer’s, Autism, Heart disease, stroke and many other neurological conditions.  This “hype” over turmeric has the pharmaceutical firms racing to develop a synthetic drug that will mimic the natural and  that can be sold for million of dollars.   They attempt to mirror what we already have in the natural state and then they add a prescription label, a few dozen potential side effects and a hefty price tag and voilà…the latest wonder drug!

We’re in Crisis!

We are in a health crisis  but our focus remains on “healthcare”.  The US cancer rates in America are 1 in 2 males and 1 in 3 females and it is reported that 1 in 5 people have Alzheimer’s while 1 in every 50 children have autism.  It’s time to be proactive with our own health. Doesn’t it make more sense to fight to avoid (or manage) disease in the first place instead opting for meds that don’t cure?    The next time you visit your doctor ask him/her how many pharmaceuticals they take.  You’ll be shocked by what you hear.  Doctors don’t chose to live or die they way we do.  They’ve seen it all and they know better.

What do you say?  Are you willing to go the extra-mile in an attempt to fight for your own health or are you content to put your health in the hands of someone else who has no more answers or cures than you do?

You would be amazed at what the body can do IF you are willing to give it what it needs and IF you’re willing to avoid what does it harm.  After all, it is a Masterpiece by Design.  Maybe it’s time to give it the respect that it deserves.

No Money For Basic Hygiene in Hospitals?

surgeon(Reuters) – Greek hospitals are in such dire straits that staff are failing to keep up basic disease controls such as using gloves and gowns, threatening a rise in multi-drug-resistant infections, according to Europe’s top health official.

Sounds like hospital officials in Greece could use a lesson or two from Japan. Although I’m not implying that Japanese hospitals don’t use gowns or gloves, they DO have a “secret” weapon that they use to kill germs and bacteria…Kangen water.

Strong acid (2.5pH) water has the power to kill MRSA within 30 seconds of contact (yes, there is science to prove it) and yet it can be consumed without harm.  Strong acid water is used for wound care, gangrene, burn patients, the sterilization of surgical equipment and much, much more in Japan.

Hmmm…I guess water isn’t “just water” after all.

What’s To Hold?

I was recently made aware of a policy within a local elementary school that speaks volumes to me.   On the surface it appears to be a rule that will uphold orderliness within the school but the BIGGER picture is frightening.

Apparently this small town elementary school restricts students from using the restroom at any time except during lunch break or “recess”.  Children may not be excused to use the restroom for any other reason outside of those times.    For most kids this doesn’t appear to be a problem, but why isn’t it? Because the parents (admittedly)   are restricting fluids to avoid the  problem.  What?  Have we really deteriorated to point that we would WITHOLD fluids from our children just to placate the school officials?   Apparently dehydration is no big deal to them.  And they wonder why kids can’t focus?  It is reported that if the brain dehydrates by a mere 1% then we lose 10% capacity.  Go figure.

If kids were drinking water and striving to be hydrated then it wouldn’t be possible to “hold it” as they’re being told to do.   Shame on the school(s) and shame on the parents for ignoring what’s best for their children.  Fight back!  Our kids are worth it!
