No Money For Basic Hygiene in Hospitals?

surgeon(Reuters) – Greek hospitals are in such dire straits that staff are failing to keep up basic disease controls such as using gloves and gowns, threatening a rise in multi-drug-resistant infections, according to Europe’s top health official.

Sounds like hospital officials in Greece could use a lesson or two from Japan. Although I’m not implying that Japanese hospitals don’t use gowns or gloves, they DO have a “secret” weapon that they use to kill germs and bacteria…Kangen water.

Where Oh Where Did The Cancer Go?

I go ballistic when someone corrects me about the high cancer rate in America today. I believe that a lot of people like living in the land of denial.  After all, if you don’t think about it then it can’t bother you, right?

As of this writing it is reported that 1 in every 2 males and 1 in every 3 females will be stricken with cancer at some point in their lifetime.  These aren’t numbers that I pulled out of a hat…these are the facts in America today!   But instead of focusing on WHY our cancer rate is so high, I have heard COUNTLESS people say…

“There aren’t more cases of cancer today – in fact, there are LESS.  The difference is that we have better means of cancer detection today than we did years ago so we’re able to find it early”.  

 What in the world are you talking about?  Do you have any idea how ridiculous that sounds?   What happened to all of those undetected cancer patients?  Let me get this straight.  You’re saying that they HAD cancer but we just couldn’t detect it? Did they die of unknown causes?  Did the cancer go away?  Is it hiding under the bed?

It is no wonder that we have major health problems in America today. We have our heads deep in the sand and we like it there.  It isn’t nearly as scary in there as it is out here without the benefit of those rose colored glasses.  Let me know how that works out for you.  With all of this modern cancer detection you should know that I’m DYING to know.

What Do You Know About Your Water Source?

It is vitally important that you have a comprehensive view of your current water source.  Since the body is made up of approximately 70% water this isn’t something that should be minimized.  Read on as we describe the differences.

Municipal tap water

Though a multitude of chemicals are legally allowable (up to 300) to make recycled sewage drinkable, chemicals are not safe regardless of the “legal limits for humans”.   Additionally, chlorine is a necessary component to kill bacteria in the water BUT chlorine is KNOWN to be a carcinogen and should (otherwise) be avoided.

Well water

Many believe that well water is safer to drink than municipal water BUT it has the disadvantage of being exposed to contaminated ground water and acid rain.  Additionally, rural properties were often once part of large farms and are subject to traces of pesticides and chemicals used for that purpose.   Traces of pesticides and chemicals can remain in the soil for up to 40 years.   Standard water tests do not test for or reveal these chemical traces.    There are more advanced water test options available that will report all trace chemicals and contaminants.

Filtered water (e.g. Brita, etc.) 

As the saying goes “something is better than nothing”. Filtering tap water from any source is better than not doing anything at all however household charcoal filters just touch the tip–of- the- iceberg when it comes to REMOVING harmful chemicals.  They do not remove bacteria of any kind .    These filters will remove a good portion of the Lye that  is added to municipal water sources (in an attempt to neutralize the water to reduce damage to water pipes).  Unfortunately, by doing so, filtered water becomes harmfully acidic.

Reverse Osmosis (RO)

These complex and costly systems DO remove most of the trace chemicals and bacteria; however this water is routinely referred to as “dead water”.  We liken it to throwing the baby out with the bath water.  The body NEEDS the nutrients naturally found in water.  RO systems remove the good right along with the bad.

Commercially bottled water

In a few words – DON’T DRINK IT!  Most people believe this to be a better water source BUT that’s just powerful marketing at work.  In fact, this water is either de-chlorinated tap water OR Reverse Osmosis water…both bottled in TOXIC recycled plastic bottles.   The FDA does not test commercially bottled water for consumer safety purposes.   For those of you relying on the government to “protect” you from harm you won’t find it here.  This excerpt from “Reducing Environment Cancer Risk…What We Can Do Now” (study conducted by the NIH Cancer Panel for the President of the United States) is very telling:

Filtering home tap or well water can decrease exposure to numerous known or suspected carcinogens and endocrine-disrupting chemicals.  Unless the home water source is known to be contaminated, it is preferable to use filtered tap water INSTEAD OF COMMERCIALLY BOTTLED WATER. 

Storing and carrying water in stainless steel, glass or BPA  free containers will reduce exposure to endocrine-disrupting and other chemicals that may leach into water from plastics”

It’s confusing, isn’t it?  After all, if tap water is laced with (up to 300) chemicals including chlorine and IF it is said to be safer to drink that than it is commercially bottled water stored in toxic recycled plastic,  then WHAT IN THE WORLD CAN YOU DO to drink SAFE, PURE water?


Restructured, alkaline, ionized, micro-clustered water…



I wonder if the Presidential Cancer Panel Report had anything to do  with that?

WEDNESDAY, May 23 (HealthDay News) –Office kitchens and break rooms are germ “hotspots,” and sink and microwave handles in these areas are the dirtiest surfaces touched by office workers on a daily basis, according to a new study.

Researchers collected nearly 5,000 individual swabs over six months from office buildings with more than 3,000 employees.  The offices included law firms, call centers and manufacturing, health care and insurance companies.

High levels of germ contamination were found on 75 percent of break-room faucet handles, 48 percent of microwave handles, 27 percent of keyboards, 26 percent of refrigerator handles, 23 percent of water fountain buttons and 21 percent of vending machine buttons.

“A lot of people are aware of the risk of germs in the restroom, but areas like break rooms have not received the same degree of attention,” Gerba said in a Kimberly-Clark news release. “This study demonstrates that contamination can be spread throughout the workplace when office workers heat up lunch, make coffee or simply type on their keyboards.”
