When Tap Water Turns Toxic…Hard Lessons From Flint

wastewaterThere is a whole lot of talk about water these days, from one end of the country to the other.  Although the water problems in Flint, Michigan have made national news; problems with water safety seem to be springing up well beyond Flint, Michigan.  Washington, DC notably has the highest death rate for colon cancer in the nation and the water source is the biggest suspect for the source of the problem; while the contaminated water at Camp Lejeune has been a hot topic for years due to unusually high rates of cancer and birth defects among our troops and their families.

One  reason for so much attention on Flint, Michigan is that their water problems could (reportedly) have been easily avoided.  Cost cutting measures made way for corrosive water and the lead from corroding pipes made its way into the water supply of Flint residents.  This is a direct violation of EPA guidelines but instead of spending $100 a day in costs to keep the pH levels of the water within EPA range; the authorities ignored the problem.  No doubt this water was used for drinking, for cooking and for bathing.  The long term health consequences associated with this level of lead poisoning is astronomical and Flint residents are left shaking their heads and wondering how the system could have so grossly failed them.

On the heels of the Flint Michigan crisis, residents of Hoosick Falls, New York raised a red flag high enough and long enough to draw the attention of Erin Brockovich, high profile environmental advocate; and now the presses are rolling in Hoosick Falls too.  Hoosick residents have been insisting that their water supply be evaluated due to “suspicious” cases of cancer within their community.  Though the mayor of Hoosick Falls stated that the water had been tested numerous times over the span of the year; unsafe levels of PFOA, a toxic chemical that can be found in household cleaning products was found at unsafe levels in their water supply.  PFOA is not a regulated contaminant and did not have enforceable standards in spite of the fact that this chemical has been linked to kidney and testicular cancer as well as other health issues, according to the New York State Department of Health.

The wastewater treatment process is a complex system and one that can’t reasonably be expected to operate with perfection in spite of well-meaning efforts.  Regulators are armed with (up to) 300 legally allowable chemicals to turn human waste into potable water but it comes with a price.   Though the known carcinogenic additives are only introduced to the systems at “safe levels”; safe levels are directly related to individual use,  from drinking water to showers.  There is no such thing as a safe level of carcinogens when it comes to our children.

The Presidential Cancer Panel offered advice for our water consumption as rendered in a 2009 N.I.H study entitled Reducing Environmental Cancer Risk…What We Can Do Now (available free online).  This is what the report has to say about our water if we want to reduce the risk of cancer:  “Filtering home tap or well water can decrease exposure to known or suspected carcinogens and endocrine disrupting chemicals.  Unless the home water source is known to be contaminated, it is best to use filtered tap water instead of commercially bottled water”.  I don’t know about you, but if the government tells me that a step to reduce the risk of cancer is to avoid plastic bottles and filter my tap water instead; that’s what I’m doing.

Having running water at our fingertips and the ability flush a toilet at will is a luxury that is foreign to most of the world.  We have the wastewater treatment process to thank for an endless supply into our homes at a nominal price.  In spite of the challenges that come with water treatment; none of us could (or would want to) live without the luxury of an endless supply of potable water flowing through our homes no matter how many chemicals it takes to get us there… but expecting perfection with the process is outside of the realm of reason.  However, there are steps that each one of us can take on our own just as Reducing Environmental Cancer Risk…What we can do Now” suggests) to assure that our water is safe and healthy.

Every jurisdiction in America is required to post details of the status of their local wastewater treatment as well as the chemicals used for the treatment online.  Though most of us aren’t familiar with the chemicals used in the process; it’s still a good idea to be informed.  After that, there are options well beyond pitcher filters that go a long way in making the treated water that comes into your home a whole lot healthier for you and your family.    It’s time to take responsibility on our own and to stop pointing fingers at an imperfect system of providing potable water.

Though the wastewater treatment process can’t be expected to operate with perfection; I’m doing my part to assure that my family drinks, cooks and bathes in the safest, healthiest water in spite of the source water problem.  Our water device filters out 98% of lead (and other metals), chlorine, fluoride, and a host of other things. Our system ZAPS parasites so that they don’t stand a chance to be a problem for us AND because our water is ionized, trace chemicals and metals that aren’t filtered out are mostly discharged and not accessible in our drinking water.

MY FAMILY HAS TAKEN SERIOUS ACTION TO ASSURE THAT WE HAVE SAFE, HEALTHY WATER IN OUR HOME. Flint, Michigan residents were SOLD OUT for $100 a day expense to avoid their problem.   Will you sell out your family for pennies a day?  Take action today!  Contact me!!!

Lourdes Water Piped In? Well…sort of…

lourdesThe water that we drink today has no resemblance whatsoever to the water that is naturally created and intended for human health.    The fact that your water is clear and clean (looking) is a very small factor in the bigger picture and depriving your body of the right water is wreaking havoc on your health whether you believe it or not!   We all need water like that found in places like Lourdes, France and Tlacote, Mexico!   Obviously we can’t have it piped in across the globe (or can we?)  so we all need to consider alternatives for the sake of our health.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but companies like Nestle and Coke are 100% financially driven and they don’t have your best interest in mind.   Technically they can’t even describe the clear contents of your water bottle as “water” and yet you’re paying (on the average) $6.00 a gallon for it!  Water is supposed to be rich in minerals and electrically charged.  Bottled water is void of all minerals and is known to be highly oxidative (promotes aging and disease).   With that in mind, the bottled water you drink has absolutely no benefit to the human body whatsoever.  You may not die of thirst if you drink it but the same is true for toilet water.  The body’s need for water goes well beyond not dying of thirst!  Water is the most important nutrient for the human body and it (in its natural state) serves a HUGE purpose for health!

Your local wastewater treatment plant may do a good job in providing you with an endless supply of water piped in (at a high price) but it takes a whole lot of chemicals (up to 300) to recycle human waste so that it is “safe” to drink and bathe in.  No thanks.  I don’t care how many chemicals you put in there I don’t want to drink or bathe in anybody’s else’s waste!   How can you reasonably expect that human waste laced with hundreds of chemical (to make it potable)  can possibly be “safe” and healthy for humans?

What we all need is  “healing” waters like that found in Lourdes, France!  Unfortunately we can’t have it piped in…or can we?

Almost 40 years ago a group of scientist took action to invent a technology that would restructure water so that it could returned its origin…the way it is supposed to be naturally…the way that it is in places like Lourdes!   This technology restructures water so that it mirrors (and beyond) the “healing waters”  from around the world that have been scientifically proven to have medicinal properties. Since this medical grade technology is easily attached to the faucet in your home it IS like piping medicinal water in from Lourdes!

Dr. Ray Kurzweil (M.I.T.) was inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame in 2002, won the National Medal of Technology in 1999, voted Inventor of the Year by M.I.T.,  voted Engineer of the Year by Design News and has received 12 honorary doctorates along with honors from 3 U.S. Presidents.  This is what Dr. Kurzweil has this to say to skeptics of restructured water:

It is fairly simple to show that these statements (of doubt) are incorrect.  Alkaline, ionized water is very beneficial to one’s health.  There are more benefits to drinking alkalized, ionized water than just the alkalinity or pH however.  The most important benefit of drinking alkaline water produced by an ionizer is Oxidative Reduction Potential (ORP).  Water with a high negative ORP is of particular value in its ability to neutralize oxygen free radicals.

If you like to think that water is just water, that’s certainly your prerogative, but I’d be careful not to say that in the presence of people like Dr. Ray Kurzweil who know better.  I would also advise against uttering those words in the presence of the millions and millions of the people who travel to Lourdes, France or Tlacote, Mexico each year in hopes of finding healing.  Some have seen such amazing results by drinking this water that they have it shipped directly to their home….until they realize that they can “pipe it in” with technology, that is.

There is a tremendous difference in water and I’m happy to prove  it. Personally, I don’t feel the need to travel around the world for miracles nor do I need to hoard up the  miracle water and drag it across the globe.  My miracles seem to find me  wherever I am and I can “pipe in” my own restructured, hexagonal,  ”active hydrogen” MIRACLE water in the comfort of my own home.

Poisoning Our Troops and Their Families? What’s in YOUR Water?

CLA new report by the Federal Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease shows that the decades-long case of drinking water contamination at Camp Lejeune is one of the worst on record.

Tap water supplied to base housing contains toxic chemicals and known carcinogens including benzene, vinyl chloride and trichloroethylene at levels that significantly exceed “legal limits”.  Veterans and there families have been poisoned at Camp Lejeune (and God knows where else) since 1948.  The civilian parallel would be  multiple life prison sentences but since this is a government “oversight” we’ll excuse it as a big mistake.  Tell that to the thousands of cancer patients coming out of Camp Lejeune since 1948.  Veterans, fathers, sons, wives, children, grandchildren.   What a way to treat those willing to serve our country!

“We knew the evidence was damning – now it’s historic,” said environmental activist Erin Brockovich. “Policymakers need to wake up and realize that Camp Lejeune is just one of the many tragedies playing out in our communities across the country.”

Of course, Marine Corps officials have denied wrongdoing, contending there is insufficient “reliable scientific evidence” to link the contamination to illnesses suffered by former base residents and their families.  The proof is in the epidemic level of disease.  I wonder what those officials drink?

The fact that Erin Brockovich drinks Kangen Water should a motivating factor for you.   Not tap water…not bottled water…not filtered Brita water…not “dead” reverse osmosis water…or some “knock-off” cheap ionizer…Kangen Water.

Bottoms up America.  If you trust your water source then perhaps the chemicals have already gone to the brain.  Why would you trust a system that has hidden this deadly contamination from our troops and their families since 1948?  Hmm….
