Proof That Humans Will Drink Absolutely Anything…Kopi Luwak

Kopi Luwak is the world’s most expensive coffee selling for as much as $30.00 per cup in some parts of the world.  If that’s not enough to make you choke maybe the fact that it is made from the beans of coffee berries that have been excreted by cat-like (rat-like) animals called civets is!  The civet cat eats the berries and then  passes them through the intestines where it is believed that the amino acids are removed.  The beans are defecated and then some poor soul gathers them up for roasting.  Am I the only person out here wondering who in the world watched a cat/rat defecate coffee beans and then went on to gather them up make a pot of coffee?

Coffee connoisseur, Chris Rubin explains what makes Kopi Luwak worth the price:pooped-coffee-beans

“The aroma is rich and strong, and the coffee is incredibly full bodied, almost syrupy. It’s thick with a hint of chocolate, and lingers on the tongue with a long, clean aftertaste. It’s definitely one of the most interesting and unusual cups I’ve ever had”

Is it any wonder that the average person cannot be convinced that soda, sports drinks or commercially bottled water are BAD for them if they’re willing to drink coffee made from beans passed through the digestive tract of a civet cat/rat?

Before you allow yourself to get too caught up in the recycled coffee beans concept, remember that the city tap water that you access every day in your home to drink, to cook with and to shower in is also recycled (human) waste brought to you by special delivery by your local wastewater treatment plant at a very high price too!  If you buy-in to the safety of your recycled sewage tap water then it’s not hard to believe that you’d drink coffee made with beans that have cycled through a cat/rat too!  Apparently most humans will drink absolutely anything they’re offered under the label of “safe” or “good”.  Sad but true.

Every cup of my coffee is acid-free (and poop free) and it is made with water that only passes through a device on my kitchen counter that produces an endless supply Electrolyzed Reduced Water  aka  Kangen Water®.  My family deserves to drink water that is chemical-free, bacteria-free and poop free.  I can’t speak for you and yours!

If you’ve never tried your average coffee made with Kangen Water® then you are missing a real treat and if you’ve never experienced what it’s like to drink water that is actually GOOD for you instead of harmful to you then you have no idea what you’re missing.

If you’re OK with consuming (and paying a HIGH PRICE for) fluids that have cycled through the digestive tract of human or rodents then you’re on your own and I’ll say a prayer for you.  Otherwise, if you’re ready to wise up and get the poop OUT of your life instead of out of the life of another, reach out to me.

Can I buy you a cup of coffee?

Withholding Fluids From Young Children…Child Abuse or School Compliance?

The Ultimate Price for Bathroom Use

Kids Have to “Pay” to Use the Bathroom in School?

I’ve always thought that eliminating waste was a human necessity and not an earned privilege; but it looks like schools across America have a different idea.

Texas – A second-grade teacher charges good-behavior “bucks” for bathroom visits.  Consequently a seven-year-old boy wet his pants in class because he hadn’t accumulated enough good behavior credits to secure a trip to the bathroom.

Chicago – School officials at a public elementary school in Chicago are ordering teachers to sign students up for “designated restroom times” when entire, overcrowded classes of little kids must use the bathroom each day.  The rationale for the “pee policy” is to improve the school’s standardized test results.

California – The mother of a 7-year-old Irving elementary school student says her son wet his pants in class after his teacher refused to let him use the restroom because the honor roll student didn’t have enough “Bonus Bucks” for a potty break.

NEWS FLASH: A ‘normal’ urination rate (of a hydrated human) is eight to 10 times a day.  When nature calls it’s time to go!  School schedules don’t have a whole lot to do with anything when it comes to bodily function.  Sorry teachers, you would NEVER have that much control over my kids!

I’m shocked when I coach people on the importance of efficient hydration for health and they complain that they can’t drink a lot of water because (if they do) they’d have to “live in the toilet”.  Are we so busy that using the toilet has become nothing more than a nuisance?  Apparently so.  Just ask our school teachers!   From their standpoint, there just aren’t enough hours in the day to be bothered with unnecessary things like potty breaks!

WARNING:  The longer you hold your urine the likelier it is that the bladder will become a breeding ground for bacteria to grow.  Bacteria can lead to infections which can spread to kidneys and cause greater damage to the body over all.  Holding your urine is NOT a good thing.  Withholding fluids is far worse.

Dehydration is the leading cause of many chronic conditions and water is the key to all life (and health).  If you want your kid to do their best in school then HYDRATE THEM!  How can a dehydrated brain function at its maximum potential?   Just keep in mind that what goes in MUST come out.  You’ll have to fight for potty breaks if you have a hydrated kid.

In order to avoid the potty problem (and the potential for bullying over an “accident”) countless parents are now withholding fluids from their little ones.  I don’t know what’s worse ; schools that think that using the bathroom is an earned privilege or parents that would rather have a dehydrated child than to fight the schools for their basic human rights.  Hmm…

It’s no wonder we have a health crisis in America…

You Just THINK You Don’t Use Splenda! Think again!

People like sucralose—the artificial sweetener marketed as Splenda—because the human body can’t break it down and use it. That means the substance has almost no calories and makes it a popular ingredient in everything from cookies to diet sodas.  Unfortunately,  wastewater treatment plants can’t break down Splenda either.   Don’t look now but although flushing the toilet make things disappear from site, it doesn’t mean we won’t be reintroduced to it later when we drink water from a municipal system.  Recycling sewage is no easy task!  Yum!

Samples of wastewater were taken from seven wastewater-processing plants in Arizona. For at least 48 days, the water was run through both anaerobic and aerobic biological batch reactors, systems designed to use natural processes to break down wastes. None of the samples showed a significant decrease in the amount of sucralose aka Splenda present.   Based upon these results, you can bank on Splenda being present in bottled water too.   Water bottling companies get their water from a local municipal water source and they don’t come close to filtering tap water to this degree!

So, it looks like you get a little Splenda (right along with a multitude of other chemicals and prescription drugs) whether you like it or not!   “Cheers” to your mystery fluids!

I wouldn’t drink tap water or bottled water (aka tap water by a different name) for all of the money in the world.  My family drinks ONLY electrolyzed reduced water and I sleep a lot better KNOWING that they are getting the healthiest, chemical-free (Splenda-free) water on the planet.   Nope…its not cheap….but neither is the health of my family.  I took care of our water needs once and for all.

I don’t cut corners when it comes to my most precious and prized  “possessions”.    I don’t even want to know how many thousands and thousands of dollars I spent on toxic water in a bottle before I invested in my own ionizer.  Now THAT’S a scary thought.

How about you?  Will you continue with the “out of site, out of mind” mentality OR will you do whatever it takes for the sake of your health?   Think about it the next time you flush.

Is Convenience Killing Your Children? Ask Mercola!

Mercola Headlines:

“Worst Endocrine Disruptors Revealed AND They Could Be Raising Your Family’s Cancer Risk”

Here are a few of the highlights:

  • A number of common chemicals in your home and environment are known as endocrine disruptors, many of which are found in plastic products
  • Endocrine-disrupting chemicals are similar in structure to natural sex hormones such as estrogen, thereby interfering with their normal functions. Children are at greatest risk for adverse effects
  • 12 worst endocrine disruptors are: BPA, dioxin, Atrazine, phthalates, perchlorate, fire retardants, lead, mercury, arsenic, PFC’s, organophosphate pesticides, and glycol ethers
  • The connection between endocrine disrupting chemicals and cancer is of particular concern. Children who are exposed to these chemicals from a young age may be predisposed to cancer at increasingly earlier ages
  • A recent report co-produced by the World Health Organization and the United Nations Environment Program suggests a ban on endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) may actually be needed to protect the health of future generations

Top 3 Action Items to Protect Our Children

1.  GET RID OF PLASTIC!!!  All of it.  Most of what you have access to DOES CONTAIN BPA and there isn’t a plastic on the planet that isn’t harmful to  human life.

2.  While you’re eliminating plastics you’ll need to make decisions about THE MOST IMPORTANT component to health and LIFE…WATER!   By changing your water you CAN profoundly change your health.  In addition to going GREEN, you’ll stop contributing to the pollution of the planet and the poisoning of your children and your grandchildren.  Garbage in/Garbage out applies to toxins too.  Everything you’re exposed to is passed on for generations to come.  You can’t begin to detox of the harmful chemicals until you STOP being exposed to them and start “flushing’ them out with lots of HEALTHY water.  Bottled water is OUT.  Municipal tap water is OUT.  My family is leading by example – we use a commercial grade/medical grade ionizer to produce our own healthy, chemical free water at home and we REFUSE to use plastics.  No need for us to travel to Lourdes, France to get healing water!  It’s right in our kitchen!

3.  AVOID CHEMICALS AT ALL COSTS!  Many of the products that you use around your home and for personal hygiene are highly toxic.  For instance, dryer sheets contain very high levels of MERCURY.   Who knew? They may smell good BUT by wearing clothes laced with mercury your children are exposed to mercury 24/7.  Don’t look now but there are a whole lot of people protesting the use of vaccines due to the  risk of  mercury exposure – all the while they refuse to give up the convenience (and good smell) of dryer sheets.  Go figure.

There are healthy cleaning and hygiene products that won’t break the bank.  If you understand the science behind what makes these products effective (the pH level of the product itself) then you’ll be able to make healthy GREEN changes!   By modifying the pH of your water source you can replace MOST products.  Blue is the new green IF you have access to a commercial grade/medical grade water ionizer.

Children are at greatest risk and they deserve better than what we’re giving them.   By exposing our children day after day, year after year to harmful toxins, we are willingly jeopardizing their health.  Our need for convenience is costing our children life and health.   Making changes truly is a matter of life and death!  I believe our children are worth every sacrifice.  What about you?

Preservatives In Baby Wipes? What Are You Thinking?

According to a study published in Pediatrics,  a preservative called methylisothiazolinone (MI) found in many wet wipes can cause acute contact dermatitis.

Why in the world  is it necessary to add preservatives to baby wipes?  Better yet, why are you using them?

By raising the pH of your tap water you can easily use just water and a soft cloth for baby’s behind and you’ll never need to buy synthetic, preservative-laced wipes again!  Diaper rash?  No problem!  Lower the pH of your tap water and you can kill the germs that are causing the rash.  Just when you thought that water was just for drinking!  If you can alter the pH of your tap water you can get rid of ALL toxic chemicals in and around your home.  No preservatives needed.

Go green in twenty sixteen!  Your baby will thank you for it!

Cheers! From Waste Water Treatment Plant To You!

If you are on a municipal water system you are drinking (and bathing in) chemically treated sewage. You wonder why we have health problems?  There is no way to avoid parasites or pharmaceuticals that have been passed through the human body then treated and piped back into your home. This is the reason we find drugs within us that we’ve never consumed!  New York just approved the allowance for up to 20% solid human waste in their water system.  A filter and a few hundred chemicals later; and you’ve got tap water to drink and to bathe in! This image puts it all into perspective. What you can’t see won’t hurt you…right?

It’s time to get serious about the water you drink and bathe in.

It’s time to take care of your water problem once and for all!

Steve Jobs…Health Nut or too Smart for his Own Good?

appleI am famous for saying “sometimes people can be SO SMART that they’re stupid”.  Steve Jobs was clearly one of the most brilliant technological visionaries of all times.  His diligence and ability to build, not only the right product at the right time but to surround himself with the right team to pull it all off, is nothing short of genius.  However, when it comes to health and nutrition its an entirely different story.

Apparently “Apple” was duly named by Steve Jobs.  He took “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” to a whole new level.    Steve Jobs didn’t just eat an apple a day…apparently he ate them all day.  Steve Jobs  followed a “fruitarian” diet with some minor modifications (surprise!)…He is said to have eaten ONLY FRUIT FOR SEVERAL YEARS prior to his death.

It doesn’t take a rocket-scientist to know that the body needs more than just fruit to function and that an overdose of fruit-only will almost assuredly lead to pancreatic issues.   Although some give credit to Steve’s protocol for “extended life” with pancreatic cancer, others will suggest that his pancreatic cancer was not the “bad kind” (they all sound bad to me) and that he likely could have reversed his condition if he had been willing to take the advice from qualified nutritionist and adjust his diet to the needs of his body.  I guess he thought that he was smarter than that.  That’s not a surprise.

“Steve Job’s Fruit Diet Put Ashton Kutcher in the hospital”

Hollywood  got a up-close look at a fruit only diet when Ashton Kutcher tried to emulate Steve Job’s unique diet in preparation for the filming of the Jobs movie.  Kutcher’s attempt to mirror Jobs backfired when he ended up in the hospital with severe pancreatic problems within a few weeks of adopting this diet.

Sounds to me like Jobs took EVERYTHING over the top.  It’s too bad.  This genius died a relatively young man.  It’s a shame he wasn’t willing to listen to “stupid people”.   I think he could have learned a few things from us.

Either These People Are All Idiots OR They Know Something You Don’t Know!

Thirty million people across the globe understand the importance of giving the body the right water to sustain health.  Isn’t it time for you to consider making changes too?  Just by changing your water, you can profoundly change your health!

Madoff is a Chump Compared to This Multi-Billion Dollar Scam!

Water taken from a local municipal water source…packaged in a bottle laced with toxins known to cause cancer…adorned with an “earthy” or “mountain spring” label so that people think it actually comes from a natural, clean water source somewhere and sold for $8.00 per gallon (average).

Someday the bottled water industry will go down in history as the biggest scam of all time.

I hope that you come to your senses when it comes to water.  When you’re ready to make smart, healthy changes let me know!

And So It Begins…Thanks, Nestle’

Use of a wet-nurse  was a common practice before the introduction of the feeding bottle and baby formula.  In fact, by the early 1800’s wet nursing had become a well-organized profession with contracts and laws designed to regulate its practice.  Although today we may frown upon the idea of someone breastfeeding a child not their own,  death was the only other option until the mid 180o’s.

The first baby “formula” was developed in 1860 by German scientist Justus von Leibig.   It was powdered, just like the formula we use today. It consisted of wheat flour, dehydrated cow’s milk, malt flour, and potassium bicarbonate (an additive used as a base in foods and to regulate pH). To make the formula, mothers had to mix the powder with warmed cow’s milk.  Leibig’s soluble “infant food” was first marketed in the United States in 1869 and sold for $1.00  per bottle.  That was a small fortune back then but keep in mind that the use of formula (with the exception of the elite) was for emergency purposes only.  It’s a whole different ballgame today.

Shortly after the development of Leibig’s, the Nestle Company came up with its own version of formula, which was basically the same as Leibig’s with 2 (not so) minor changes.  It didn’t have the potassium bicarbonate, and Nestle added sugar to their formula.  I guess Nestle thought that starving babies wouldn’t drink their concoction unless it was loaded with sugar (like all of their other products).  This formula sold for half the price of Leibig’s, and it turned out to be more cost-effective in other ways, too.  Nestle’s formula needed only water for mixing.  That’s too bad.  Cow’s milk was actually safe to drink (and good for you) in the late 1800’s.  Oh well…  Thanks, Nestle.

Sounds like the makings of a successful business to me!  Make it convenient…add sugar to make it taste good…make it more affordable  and tell the world that it’s just as healthy for the newborn as mother’s milk and you’ve got a home run!  The rest, as they say, is history.

Hey Nestle –  when were you going to think about the well-being of our babies or were you too overcome with greed to worry about a silly thing like that?  No need to answer that…the answer is crystal clear from where I’m sitting.

I can’t help but wonder if Nestle hadn’t been a game-changer by adding SUGAR to infant formula to make it taste good (at 1/2 the price), would we be loading it up with high fructose corn syrup today?  Definitely makes you go “hmm”.

My 2 Cents

If you can’t (or won’t) breastfeed your child please take the time to research baby formula and buy a brand without high fructose corn syrup.  Although there are lots of labels out there that say “all natural” or “organic”  be sure to read and investigate the contents for yourself.  High fructose corn syrup is your enemy!

If you opt for formula, please don’t mix it with tap, bottled or pitcher filtered water.  Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY “Nursery Water” under any brand or circumstances!  It’s not what they want you to believe it is and it has added fluoride.  Contrary to what you’ve been told, fluoride is NOT good for you or your baby and there is plenty of science to back that up.  States that never introduced fluoride into their water systems actually report few cavities AND fewer cases of cancer in children under the age of 14.

Your baby is 90% water and very alkaline at birth.  This is the reason their skin is like silk!   They are ultra hydrated (and just the right pH) naturally.  Thanks, Mom!  The longer they stay that way (hydrated and alkaline) the healthier they’ll be.  Water is a critical component to the health of your child.

The kind of water you  introduce to your baby through formula and food is critical!   I’m often amazed at how many young parents don’t think twice about mixing baby formula with water they wouldn’t dream of drinking themselves. It’s not just about taste, folks.

Your baby is worth the very best money can buy.  The best food and the best water that  you can get your hands on.  If you think  healthy is expensive…you should see what disease costs!

Thanks to you, Nestle (and a lot of others) some of us have our work cut out for us in re-educating our world.  Ugh…it’s a tough job but somebody has to do it! Bottoms-up, Boomers!
