“Gender Bending” BPA…Thanks, Mom and Dad

Hormones hormonal background concept We’re living in a world where we have little girls reaching puberty as early the 1st grade and boys reportedly as young as 8 years-old raping girls of all ages. To ignore what BPA is doing to the hormonal systems of our children should be criminal.  Instead…it’s a matter of convenience that we refuse to give up.

BPA is nicknamed a gender bender due to its ability to disrupt hormone distribution within the body.   This highly toxic estrogen accelerator is used in all plastic products commercially produced.  Don’t be fooled by the good marketing behind replacing BPA with BSA.  The damage is all the same…in some ways it is worse.  There is NO SUCH THING as a safe plastic when it comes to your children.

BPA mimics natural estrogen when it is absorbed into the body. Since estrogen is accelerated through the system (because of BPA), the hormonal system goes into overdrive.  Hence, little girls and little boys reach puberty at a very early age.   Along with the outward hormonal changes,  it’s more and more common to see a higher rate of aggression and depression that can be directly attributed to BPA exposure and hormones gone haywire.

Parents, the fact that your little girl needs to wear a bra in the first grade or the fact that your son has facial hair before he reaches double-digits isn’t something to brag about.  This isn’t a “they don’t make kids like they used to” moment.   There is nothing normal about a young body being forced into hormonal overdrive by harmful toxins.

Nearly all children are exposed to this toxic BPA (to some degree) through plastic toys, pacifiers, sippy cups and through plastic water, juice and soft drink bottles.   BPA is also passed along to our children from Mommy in vitro.  If you think that you just pass along blue eyes or curly hair, think again.  You’re passing along all of your toxins as well.

Parents and grandparents across the globe, it’s time to take responsibility for what we’re doing to our children.  We need to be willing to live with a little “inconvenience” for the sake of the generations to come.

Say “Hell No” to plastics.  Put your money where your mouth is and invest in the very best water technology that you can get your hands on so that your children can have a fighting chance of ridding the body of some of the damage that convenience has already caused them AND TOSS YOUR PLASTICS in the trash where they belong once and for all!  Unless you’re willing to do your part to assure the health and safety of your child in ways that will make the biggest long-term difference, don’t expect a parent-of-the-year award.

Fill BPA-free glass or stainless containers with healthy water and stop filling them full of things that you’ve been warned about over and over again.  You’ll be amazed at the difference you’ll see in your child and (hopefully) you’ll sleep better at night because of it.

Cheers to your health!
