When “I Wouldn’t Feed That To My Dog” Takes on New Meaning

Whether you’re a pet lover or not,  you’ll have to agree that dogs don’t lie and they aren’t subject to the effects of placebo.

Dogs (and cats) recognize clean, healthy water when they sniff it. With a sense of smell 40,000 stronger than their human friends, it’s a wonder they ever drink water from the tap (or plastic bottle). Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Pet lovers can be incredibly protective of their pets and they exercise amazing care when selecting nutritious food for them.  After all, they are part of the family, right?  Some of my friends tell me that they consider them to be their “kids”.

The pet industry continues to grow by leaps and bounds year-after-year.  There is no end to what people will do for their furry friends.  From organic food, to doggie day care, to dog grooming services, to boarding, to counseling services.   There are even doggie summer camps sprouting up across the country.  No economy slows down the pet industry, that’s for sure.

Genuine pet lovers will give only the best for their pet.  So why is there little (or no) regard given to what our pet is drinking?Don’t let the fact that your dog drinks out of the toilet be an indicator that he’ll drink anything you give him.  It could be a sign of desperation to find a more appealing water somewhere!

Humans SHOULD NOT be drinking tap water or bottled water or pitcher-type filtered water so why are you feeding it to your pets?

Does it make sense for you to go above and beyond to offer your pet only the BEST to eat while offering them unhealthy (and unappealing)  water to drink?   I wouldn’t feed that to MY dog takes on new meaning when it comes to the water you offer your dog.

Believe me, your pet is paying the ultimate price for the water you’re offering.  From skin conditions to kidney stones to arthritis to diabetes…these are all telltale signs of dehydration and acidity in your pets.  Your furry friends need an endless supply of ionized, alkalized, electrically charged water and so do you.

Your dog knows best.  Now what about the owner?
