I RARELY take the advice of the government when it comes to food and water safety. As far as I’m concerned they don’t have a very good track record. However, this is ONE warning that I think ALL of us need to pay very close attention to. In fact, I think we need to read between the lines for the sake of our children and our children’s children.
This cancer study was conducted by the National Institute of Health (NIH) in conjunction with the President’s Cancer Panel (a little scary that the President has a cancer panel, isn’t it?). The findings were submitted to the White House in 2009.
Below is an excerpt from page 111 of this cancer study.
It is vitally important to recognize that children are far more susceptible to damage from environmental carcinogens and endocrine-disrupting compounds than adults. To the extent possible, parents and child care providers should choose foods, house and garden products, play spaces, toys, medicines, and medical tests that will minimize children’s exposure to toxics. Ideally, both mothers and fathers should avoid exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals and known or suspected carcinogens prior to a child’s conception and throughout pregnancy and early life, when risk of damage is greatest.
The single most impactful thing mothers and fathers (and all of the rest of us) can do to “avoid exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals and known or suspected carcinogens” is to avoid municipal tap water AND commercially bottled water. Water should be your primary ingredient for health and municipal tap and commercially bottled water are laced with cancer causing chemicals and hormone disruptors that are responsible for most of your toxic exposure. Sad but true.
Look out unborn! You’re about to get a huge toxic dose before you take the first bite, drink your first drink or breathe your first breath. How sad is that? You CAN do something about it if you’ll just open your eyes, ears and mind and consider the problem.
Every electrical impulse and every chemical reaction that takes place within the human body needs water to function. The body is 72% water…the brain is 85% water….the blood is 90% water…the body NEEDS healthy water and lots of it! What it DOESN’T need is more toxins mixed in with the water.
Don’t hold your breath if you’re waiting for your doctor to tell you that your water is the primary source of toxins. Your doctor doesn’t care about toxins OR environmental risks and he/she is paid to treat symptoms…period. Do your own homework. Take responsibility for your own health. Water isn’t just water and the future generation is paying the ultimate price for our reckless decisions.
